Microsoft plans to stop selling Windows XP retail on June 30, 2008. With all the problems associated with Windows Vista, many people in the IT community think Microsoft should not relegate a proven operating system to the scrap heap. InfoWorld is hosting a petition to Microsoft to try to convince them continue selling Windows XP indefinitely rather than force users to "upgrade" to Vista.
