Overview
This course builds on the concepts and skills covered in Windows XP SP2: Basic.  In this advanced course, students will learn how to customize the Windows XP user interface, perform advanced file and folder tasks, manage printers and print jobs, and administer user accounts.  They'll also learn how to use system utilities, maintain system security, and share LAN resources.

Outline

Unit 1 – Customizing the User Interface.  This unit will cover customizing the Star Menu, the taskbar, and folders.

Unit 2 – Files and Folders.  This unit covers file and folder attributes, advanced folder options, and file associations.

Unit 3 – Print Management.  This unit covers adding a printer and managing print jobs.

Unit 4 – Managing Multiple Users.  This unit will teach you about Windows XP user accounts, fast user switching, and user security.

Unit 5 - System Utilities.  This unit covers using System Restore, disk maintenance, using Backup, and Windows security.

Unit 6 - Sharing LAN Resources.  This unit covers sharing files, folders, and drives; mapping network drives; and sharing printers.
